According to Washington's assessment, 14 companies based in China have supported human rights violations against the Uyghurs in Xinjiang and other minorities, the US Department of Commerce announced yesterday.<\/p><p>A total of 34 companies were placed on the list because, according to the U.S. government, they are involved in activities that are contrary to U.S. foreign policy and national security interests.
