Geneva, Switzerland – Dolkun Isa, President of the Uyghur Center for Democracy and Human Rights (UZDM), is currently attending the 60th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.

For more than 20 years, Dolkun Isa has been raising the voice of the Uyghur people at the United Nations—first through the World Uyghur Congress (WUC) and numerous other human rights platforms. He is now continuing this work in his new role as president of the UZDM. His message in Geneva is clear: the international community must not ignore the systematic human rights violations in East Turkistan. With the same determination and conviction that have accompanied him for decades, Dolkun Isa continues to fight for the rights and freedom of the Uyghur people.

He is accompanied by a strong delegation:
•Zumretay Arkin, Vice President of the World Uyghur Congress,
•Erkin Zunun, Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of the WUC and Vice President of the UZDM,
•Abduljelil Emet, Treasurer of the UZDM.

Together, they represent the voice of Uyghurs at the United Nations and work tirelessly to keep the human rights situation in East Turkistan on the international agenda.
