During major international convenings such as the IRF Summit, UZDM values the opportunity to reunite with long-standing allies and friends, establish new partnerships, and—above all—continue raising awareness of the ongoing repression of Uyghurs and the denial of freedom of religion or belief.
Throughout the summit, UZDM President Dolkun Isa actively participated in discussions and engagements, highlighting the Uyghur case and the broader implications of religious repression for global peace, security, and human rights.
On the first day of the summit, during a reception hosted by the Embassy of Hungary, Dolkun Isa held meaningful exchanges with key international stakeholders, including former Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger, U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom nominee Mark Walker, and David K. Trimble, President of the International Religious Freedom Institute. These conversations provided important opportunities to amplify Uyghur voices and discuss the urgent need for coordinated international responses to religious persecution and transnational repression.
