UZDM President spoke during the UN Expert Mechanism

During the 19th Session of the UN Expert Mechanism, UZDM President Dolkun_Isa delivered a statement warning that China’s new Ethnic Unity and Progress Law institutionalizes forced assimilation of #Uyghurs, Tibetans, and other non-Han peoples. He stressed that the law legitimizes policies that threaten language, culture, religion, and identity, and called on the UN to examine its compatibility with international human rights standards.
